We are delighted to announce that Gabin Sinclair-Constance, Leap’s former Director of London Programmes has been appointed as our new Chief Executive.
For the past five years, Gabin has been working at Leap and has increased our presence and profile across London. Gabin started as Delivery Manager in 2017 and was promoted to Director of London Programmes in 2020.
Gabin brings a wealth of youth sector experience; having worked with young people across London for thirty years, twelve of those years in senior leadership roles. Over this time, he has fostered a wide range of strategic relationships and gained hands-on experience of operational delivery that will be greatly beneficial to Leap.
He is passionate about creating positive change in young people’s lives, tackling systemic inequalities, and bringing people together to develop innovative, community-led initiatives.
Mark Spelman, Leap Chairman said, “On behalf of the board, we are absolutely delighted that Gabin has accepted the role of CEO. We have been impressed by his commitment to Leap, his insights into young people and his determination to take the charity to the next level.”
About his appointment, Gabin said, “I am thrilled to be taking the role of CEO at Leap, an organisation that truly aligns with my personal values. This represents a great step forward for diversity and equality at Leap – having been in conversations about the lack of representation in senior leadership roles across the charity sector, I am excited to be a part of the change.
Over the last five years, it has been amazing to see the impact that Leap’s work can have on the lives of young people and the adults who support them. I look forward to working with our team of staff, freelance trainers, and young people to take the charity forward.”
