Leap Confronting Conflict is the UK’s only youth charity that specialises in conflict navigation. We deliver experiential training and 1:1 support programmes to give young people and the adults in their lives the skills to navigate situations of conflict effectively. We are seeking a Head of Business Development to join our team.

The Head of Business Development is responsible for the strategic and operational management of all income generation activities from statutory partnerships and contracts, and the sale of Leap training to a wide range of organisations.

They are responsible for identifying new opportunities for selling Leap services and training and collaborating with colleagues to submit bids and proposals to secure new sales and contracts.

All Leap staff must strive to uphold our core values of being responsible, developing potential, creating communication and building community in all aspects of their work.


  • Lead the development and implementation of the business development strategy and pipeline to deliver income growth
  • Embed a data-driven approach to reporting and planning activities, with a focus on continuous innovation and improvement.

Income Generation

  • Identify and develop potential contacts and partnerships with the CEO and lead on contracts, grants and sales across all areas of business development Work with the Director of Delivery to assess the operational viability of business development opportunities.
  • Lead on the production of bids and proposals to secure new sales and contracts for Leap, working closely with Head of Innovation and Trainer Manager on programme design.
  • Manage relationships with clients and partners to promote repeat business opportunities
  • Work with Delivery Team to identify future sales opportunities following or alongside grant-funded delivery to existing partners
  • Provide monthly reporting on progress against agreed targets.
