Testimonial from CJ Burge Project Manager from St Giles Trust

The young people and adults we help at St Giles all have their own stories to tell and often come to us with a difficult past. We really value lived experience in our services, so we provide training and support so that people we help go on to work for us. Our Case Workers can use their own experiences to provide support and advice in a non-judgemental way.

“I CAN CHANGE MY MINDSET AND USE THE TOOLS I HAVE LEARNT TO AVOID CONFLICT.”

asked Leap to deliver training for our newer Case Workers in February 2019, who are beginning the transition from accessing our services to taking on a frontline role in our organisation, providing mentoring and support for vulnerable adults and young people.

I wanted Case Workers to feel confident to manage their own conflict – knowing their triggers and reactions – so that they were better equipped to work with people who are struggling with complex issues. Leap were fantastic about adapting the training to emerging needs in the room. Seeing the Case Workers’ comments on the evaluation forms affirms that the training has been and will continue to be particularly beneficial for them.

For over 30 years we have provided innovative training to professionals across a wide range of youth sectors including education, criminal justice, the voluntary sector, and local councils. Learn more about our approach and themes covered for adults working with young people.
